Hola, I'm Adriana Martinez (she/her/ella), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. I am the founder of Tonalli Therapy & Consulting, where we prioritize culturally responsive, social justice-oriented, LGBTQ+ affirming therapy services that celebrate all abilities, bodies, ages, and diverse ethnic, gender, and sexual identities.

EMDR Intensives: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) intensives offer a unique opportunity to engage in focused, evidence-based therapeutic work that can lead to meaningful and lasting change. Whether you're new to therapy or have explored it before, the key to benefiting from an EMDR intensive is approaching it with a willingness to connect with difficult emotions within a trusting therapeutic relationship.

Clinical Supervision: Group and individual clinical supervision to pre-licensed clinicians, including social workers, marriage and family therapists, and professional clinical counselors, working in school-based clinical settings. My supervision approach creates a supportive space for clinicians to engage in reflective, culturally responsive case conceptualizations.

  • Yes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as in-person therapy. Research demonstrates positive outcomes and high client satisfaction with online therapy. While online therapy may not be suitable for everyone, it provides a valuable option for many individuals.   • We do not directly accept insurance for therapy sessions. However, we offer alternative payment options to ensure that therapy remains accessible and affordable for our clients. We accept payments through Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs). These are financial accounts that allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars for eligible medical expenses, including therapy sessions. You can use your HSA or FSA funds to cover the cost of your therapy sessions with us. Please note that if you plan to use your HSA or FSA for therapy sessions, it's always a good idea to check with your specific account provider to confirm that therapy services are eligible expenses.
